-Is our family culture welcoming of families of different faiths, family structures and cultures?

-Do we limit screen time in our house? Is screen time age appropriate and non-violent?

-Am I ready to support a teacher and a child in a different way of learning and teaching?

-Do we support co-operation rather than competition?

-Do we have a desire for our child to be independent?

-Do we want a learning environment that acknowledges that all children learn differently?

-Do we encourage our child to make choices and take responsibility for themselves and at home? e.g. carrying their own school bag, preparing their own snacks, dressing themselves, helping with a variety of jobs around the home?

- Has our family attended Montessori preschool or Montessori school before? (note: we will accept families who have no Montessori history if the family is accepting of the guiding principles and curriculum)

-Do we want our children to experience a curriculum that doesn’t just cover reading, writing and maths?

-Do we want our child in an environment based on self reliance, mutual respect, building resilience, and freedom with limits?
