Geography
Geography, the study of our home, Papatuanuku, the earth is the start of the primary Montessori Curriculum. The first geography lessons are given to the youngest students as exciting stories. We also use experiments and pictorial charts to help children see key ideas.
We begin with the story of "The Creation of the Universe" to give a vision of where our planet is located. We look at Earth and its place in the universe. We also look at the physical and cultural features of the earth including different countries and cultures.
