Cosmic Education is the term first used by Maria Montessori to refer to the Primary School Aged child’s whole study of the history of the universe this is the foundation of our curriculum.

Cosmic Education considers the coming of life, the evolution of plants and animals, the coming of humans, and the development of civilisations. Woven throughout Cosmic Education are geography, history, zoology, botany, and earth sciences and from which mathematics, language, and the arts are built.

Cosmic Education focuses on love and service to bring the teachings and children together; giving the children a sense of meaning and purpose along with understanding the importance of every other creature’s life on earth.

A couple of key questions underpin our curriculum: “How Did It All Come to Be?” and “How Do We Each Contribute?”

The Big Bang and the evolution of life are looked at with spiritual depth while keeping with mainstream scientific understanding.

Creation stories of other cultures and religions are also shared, and through the year, a series of Great Stories are told. Each story delves into parts of the curriculum and highlights all the ways in which the universe interconnects.

Cosmic Education allows a thorough investigation and understanding. We value effort, and respect struggle as an important journey towards great character, knowledge, and skill.
